Relocation Impacts the Entire Family System

Successful relocation involves more than visas, housing, and logistics.

International transitions often affect:

  • emotional wellbeing,

  • family dynamics,

  • adolescent adjustment,

  • stress levels,

  • belonging,

  • and long-term employee retention.

When families struggle emotionally during relocation, it can impact the employee’s overall adaptation, focus, and stability.
