Hi, I'm Flávia
My work lives at the intersection of art, neuroscience, emotional regulation, and lived experience. I bridge the gap between clinical insight and everyday life.
I am deeply interested in how people adapt, survive, and grow through change — and how creativity can support the nervous system during those transitions.
Professional journey
My professional path began in the creative field, working closely with children, teens, and families through art-based practices. Over the years, this work naturally expanded into a deeper focus on emotional regulation, trauma prevention, nervous system support, and family dynamics.
I am trained as:
-
an art therapy practitioner (non-clinical)
-
a parent and teen life coach
-
a trauma-informed and neuroscience-based practitioner
-
a Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) provider
-
a neuropsychotherapy-certified professional
-
a lifestyle and wellness coach trained through Harvard Medical School
-
currently completing advanced training in Holistic Clinical Psychoanalysis
This ongoing training allows me to integrate science, sensitivity, and structure in a way that remains accessible and human.
Lived experience & perspective
Alongside my professional training, my work is shaped by personal experiences of;
-
migration and cross-cultural living
-
grief and loss
-
parenting through emotional complexity
-
identity transitions across life stages
These experiences inform how I hold space — with humility, presence, and respect for each person’s pace.
Who I work with today
Today, my work focuses on:
-
adults and parents seeking emotional clarity and regulation
-
families navigating stress, transitions, or neurodiversity
-
teens and young adults building emotional resilience
-
Brazilian expatriates looking for culturally informed support
This work is offered in English and Portuguese, depending on the program and client preference.
