Not a HIPAA-Covered Entity
MAP Integrative Therapies is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not provide licensed medical, psychological, or mental health treatment.
As such:

Services do not constitute psychotherapy, counseling, or medical care

Participation does not establish a therapist–client or patient–provider relationship
All services are offered within an educational, integrative, and supportive framework.
Commitment to Confidentiality
Although not governed by HIPAA, MAP Integrative Therapies is deeply committed to ethical confidentiality practices.
We make every reasonable effort to:

treat shared information with respect and care

limit access to information to what is necessary for service delivery
Information shared during individual sessions, group programs, workshops, or written communication is treated as confidential within the scope of the program.
Limits of Confidentiality
Confidentiality may be limited or breached only in the following circumstances:

if there is concern of imminent harm to yourself or others

if disclosure is necessary to comply with legal or safety obligations
In group programs, confidentiality is encouraged but cannot be guaranteed, as other participants are present. Participants are asked to respect the privacy of others.
Electronic Communication & Virtual Sessions
By participating in virtual sessions, email communication, or online programs, you acknowledge that:

electronic communication carries inherent privacy risks

reasonable precautions are taken to protect confidentiality

absolute security of digital communication cannot be guaranteed
Participants are encouraged to choose private, secure environments when engaging in sessions.
Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for:

deciding what and how much to share

seeking licensed medical or mental health care when needed

using MAP services as a complement, not a replacement, for clinical care
