MAP Expats Support

Bilingual integrative support for Brazilian and international teens, young adults, parents, and families navigating emotional overwhelm, identity shifts, parenting challenges, and life abroad.

Living Abroad Changes More Than Your Address...
It changes inside.

Relocation changes everything — not just your address, but your identity, your relationships, your sense of self.

MAP Expat Support exists for the emotional weight that doesn't show up on any moving checklist.

Support available in English and Portuguese for individuals, families, and corporate-sponsored relocations. Online sessions available worldwide.

The Emotional Side of Relocation

International relocation can bring opportunity, growth, and exciting new experiences — but it can also deeply affect emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, nervous system regulation, and family dynamics.

The things nobody talks about when you relocate:

"I should be grateful — we chose this. So why do I feel so lost?"

"My kids are struggling at school and I don't know how to help them."

"My partner and I are fighting more than ever since we moved."

"I miss who I was at home. I don't know who I am here."

"I've reinvented myself three times across three countries. I'm exhausted."

Even positive transitions can place significant stress on individuals, couples, children, and family systems.

MAP offers compassionate support rooted in emotional safety, regulation, resilience, connection, and meaningful adaptation through life between cultures.

What MAP Expat Support Addresses

Identity in transition

When you leave your country, community, and role behind, the question "who am I?"

becomes urgent.

MAP work helps you rebuild a coherent sense of self that travels with you.

Relational stress

Relocation puts enormous pressure on partnerships and parenting.

MAP supports individuals and couples navigating the relational fallout of moving — and helps families build new shared rituals and connection.

Children & teens

Children and teens often carry the weight of relocation silently.

MAP teen and family support helps them process the grief of leaving, navigate new social environments, and rebuild confidence.

Belonging & Grief

Missing home isn't weakness — it's love.

MAP creates space to grieve what was left

behind while building

real belonging in

the new place.

A possibilidade de um espaço em português, com compreensão cultural real

Ser atendida(o) por alguém que fala sua língua, entende sua cultura, conhece os desafios da imigração, compreende dinâmicas familiares multiculturais faz toda a diferença. Misturar as linguas tambem faz parte do cuidado!

O MAP Expat não exige que você se traduza o tempo todo. Aqui, você pode simplesmente ser e sentir.

Sem julgamentos. Sem barreiras. Aqui você pode finalmente se sentir em casa.

A Compassionate & Culturally Sensitive Approach

MAP approaches expatriation and relocation through emotional safety, nervous system awareness, cultural sensitivity, relational understanding, and compassionate support.

Relocation often affects identity, belonging, relationships, emotional rhythms, parenting dynamics, and nervous system regulation in ways that are not always visible from the outside.

Rather than focusing only on adaptation performance, MAP supports emotional wellbeing, resilience, connection, self-understanding, and meaningful adjustment during life transitions across cultures and countries.

Supporting employees through international transitions - Relocation is more than logistical.

MAP also partners with companies and HR teams to provide emotional wellness support as part of corporate relocation packages. If you're an employer or relocation consultant looking for vetted expat support services, there's a dedicated page for you.
